What is a Profhilo 5 point facelift ?

A Profhilo 5 point facelift is an injectable, non-invasive, anti-aging aesthetic treatment designed to rejuvenate appearances and hydrate the skin from within. The ‘Profhilo’, which is really just hyaluronic acid, is carefully injected at five points on each side of the face. This results in firmer, tighter skin, softening fine lines and wrinkles, and reducing sagging in areas more likely to lose laxity, such as cheeks, jawline and neck creating natural face lift without changing the shape of the face.

How does Profhilo ‘remodel’ the skin ?

As the Profhilo treatment is a series of injections containing pure hyaluronic acid, the skin will be deeply hydrated from within. This is because hyaluronic acid has the ability to draw and hold water, binding it to collagen, moisturising the skin and because of the slow release
of the hyaluronic acid, the body is stimulated into producing more collagen and elastin. This substantially improves the quality of the skin, even if one has very wrinkled skin, an improvement will be undeniable. Skin will have a ‘bio-remodeled’ appearance looking firmer, more hydrated, with an improved skin tone and texture.

When will I see results from a Profhilo 5 point facelift ?

To get the best results possible from this treatment, it’s recommended that patients get two treatments, four weeks apart from one another. Some patients say they see results after one week, but the best possible results are going to be visible after 4 weeks / 28 days from the second treatment. After eight weeks the skin is going to appear more healthy, smooth and
radiant.

As it’s a non-permanent treatment, the Profhilo treatment is eventually going to be broken down by the body. Prohilo ultimately lasts for about six months and if you would like to see the same benefits you might need to repeat the treatment.

Will there be any side effects from the Profhilo facelift ?

After the treatment there will be some mild side effects, which are completely normal, such as redness, slight swelling and tenderness around the treatment area. There might be an appearance of mild bruising, which generally takes a few days to appear, but both the
tenderness and bruising should fade after a few days but may take up to a week to do so completely.There are risks associated with Profhilo are the same for any other type filler and include the possibility for allergic reactions and infections, although that is practically rare.
For Aftercare we advise that patients avoid touching the treatment area, and that the area only be washed gently with a gentle cleanser and water. The patient should avoid physical activities and sports for twenty-four hours post treatments, with saunas and steamy baths be avoided for a few days, forty-eight hours minimum, post treatment. Avoid sun bathing, extremes of hot or cold temperatures and any further cosmetic treatments for fourteen days post treatment.
